Massages, mood lighting, heated pillows and plenty of other little things will be available for the comfort of passengers on board the S-Class.
Traditionally, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the most luxurious luxury sedan, which is often the car of those who enjoy the comfort of the S-Class in the back seat most between work and home. That’s why in one of the most conservative ways, he presented the wealth of technology he’s accumulated from generation to generation. Now, however, the S is taking a whole new direction.
And in this direction there is no place for buttons and switches, but not even climate panels. Instead, it has minimalist trim, large-area wooden inserts and huge displays aboard the W223-coded S-Class. The windshield projector’s display with augmented reality-based navigation helps you orient or set up the adaptive cruise control, but perhaps most interesting is the center console replacement touch panel on which the MBUX on-board system runs.
The indoor lighting can be adjusted in an infinite hue, but it also has more functions. LEDs are not spared, the mood lighting consists of a total of 250 diodes and illuminates with such brightness that it is visible even during the day. It warns you with a flashing red light when you open the door with another vehicle or bicycle approaching from the dead space or set the temperature in the climate in that zone. It is also used by a system called Energizing Coach, which creates different moods (awakening or relaxing) in the cabin with the right musical background, even combined with a massage.
