While the number of new cars placed on the market in the European Union fell by half in May and by only about a quarter in June.
In June, 949.7 thousand new cars were placed on the market in the European Union, 22.3 percent less than the 1.223 million a year earlier. However, the rate of decline improved from May, when it was still 52.3 percent lower than a year earlier.
