The MINI STRIP study car is up against all current trends in terms of comfort and premium line. It’s a peculiar approach to a world where people really only have to use the car to get from point A to point B and meanwhile don’t care about comfort, luxury, fun, just drive. He made drastic changes to a MINI Cooper for this, but we could also say he didn’t finish the model.
For example, a complete varnish is missing, a layer of varnish was applied only to the galvanized steel sheets to prevent corrosion. Bumpers are also made of raw plastics, as are custom grille and wheel arches. In the name of sustainability, it used a lot of recycled material, and in the back it installed 3D printed parts on the bumper, for which recycled plastic was used.
Instead of patents, much less, so with an easier solution, simple screws were attached to the outer plastic elements, which look rustic, but fit the picture perfectly when viewed from the car as a whole. Unique decorative discs have been added to it, also just for efficiency, which conduct air better from the rims. An interesting detail is that instead of the current one, the designer used the oldest lamps in the model, they are a bit clearer than the current ones, so they fit better into the picture.
