The cars promised the fourth generation of Mazda3, and now we are a bit disappointed with the production model. Not to see a tremendous innovation, the fourth generation model unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show will carry more of the previous car, the Mazda's KODO form language. The emphasis is on non-edged surfaces, on lines that can be drawn with a single line. For the athleticism, the rim is the nose, the narrow headlights and the narrowing side windows. Interestingly, the part of the car around the Column C and the rear tract could be the first generation of SEAT Leon. The compact size car will continue to be available on the market with two bodies, hatchback and sedan.
Of course, the car grew somewhat, the length of the sedan from 4579 mm to 4662, the hatchback from 4275 mm to 4459 mm. The Mazda3's width and height have changed to a minimum of 1797 and 1440 mm (1445 mm sedan).
Inside, there was much more evolution than revolution, but the role of the driver and the passenger in the car was separated. The steering wheel is adjustable in the longitudinal direction (up to 70 mm) in the longitudinal direction and can be adjusted as standard in the front seat seat. The shift lever moved forward and higher while the cup holders were placed in front of the shift lever and the middle elbow extended. There is no conventional handbrake lever, but instead of a small switch we can activate the parking brake.
The dashboard is dominated by horizontal lines, a three-hour clock group in front of the driver, and a 8.8-inch high elevated screen in the middle. The latter is responsible for displaying navigation, hi-fi and other on-board system information, and their control can still be done with the wheel behind the shift lever. Controlling the volume of the climate and hifi can still be done in a conventional way. Bose will continue to deliver more serious hibernation to Mazda, with a 12-speaker system with subwoofer available here.
