Three years after the introduction of the original Cayman GT4 Clubsport (CS), the Weissachi crew re-exposed itself and introduced the new racing series.
In terms of mass reduction and environmental compatibility, the world's first organic fiber composites are made of two side doors and the rear wing: they are as light and solid as carbon fiber materials, but are made of flax and hemp waste.
Checking for eco-consciousness, engineers focused their attention on improving performance, with a power of 425 horsepower, 40 more than the previous GT4 CS. The transmission has a six-speed double-clutch, the rear axle has a mechanical differential lock. The first suspension comes from the 911 GT3 Cup, the brake system consists of four 380 mm steel wheels.
The GT4 CS weighs just 1320 kg with its welded boom, shell seats and six-point racing chassis.
The model is available in two versions. It's easier to get the name 'Trackday'. Shock absorbers are not adjustable, have ABS and ESP, but can be switched off, series air conditioners, roofed escape hatch, hand fire extinguisher and 80 liter safety fuel tank.
The 'Competition', a hard-racing model, has three-stage adjustable shock absorbers, a 115-liter petrol tank, a manually adjustable brake force distribution, a built-in pnematic lift, a quick-release racing steering wheel (911 GT3 R yield) and an automatic fire extinguishing system.
The former cost 134, the latter 157 thousand euros plus taxes. One-seat cars that are not suitable for road traffic can already be ordered, and the first copies will be delivered to customers in February.
