After September 1, 2018, new cars can only be placed on the WLTP driving cycle type certificate. Opel entered time.
WLTP stands for the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure, the test generates real-world consumption data.
Opel has come to terms with these standards and can continue to offer its entire portfolio without restriction - all its cars are WLTP-ready.
Of course, there was a small trick, the gasoline engine Insignia GSi was soon abandoned a few months after the premier, so currently only a diesel engine is available for the sporty model.
All other models, however, have a valid WLTP certificate, so Opel sales are not expected to cause any disruption.
