The newest 508 is not only sporty but also environmentally conscious. The French concept seems to be more exciting.
Last year, Peugeot came out with the second-generation release of the 508 model, which hadn't been so successful since then, until the last screw. The second-generation strong lion in the sedan and combi versions has the strongest horsepower of 225 horsepower, but now, suddenly, a much more sporty and greener new 508 has emerged.
The accompanying photos show the Peugeot 508 Sport Engineered Concept for the first time in public at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The new 1.6-liter 4-cylinder internal combustion engine delivers about 200 horsepower, but it also comes with 110 horsepower on the front-wheel electric motor and 200 horsepower on the rear-mounted e-engine. In this way, the total power is 400 horsepower and the peak torque is 500 Nm. The new plugin hybrid 508 can even fight with the M3 BMW, at least in principle (and as long as there is charging in the electrical system). The novelty can shoot from 0 to 100 in just 4.3 seconds (M3: 4.1 seconds), and the top speed is 250 km / h. Because the car has a 11.8 kWh battery, there is no obstacle to doing 50 kilometers in pure electric mode.
The developers also tuned the other parts of the car to the enhanced power chain. The new 508 running gear of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S sports tire was seated, the 380 millimeter brakes behind the 20-inch rims became stronger, and the track gauge 24 was wider at the front and 12 millimeters at the front.
