Audi's electric recreational vehicle hasn't even appeared yet, there's already a sportier, more lifestyle version of the model. Technically, there is no difference.
More than a year after the premiere of the original Q4 e-tron study car, and roughly a year before its launch, Audi has introduced a new alternative: the Q4 Sportback e-tron concept car, which packs the same technical content in a different form.
Although it looks much more elongated at first glance, the Sportback is just an inch longer (460 cm) and just as low (160 cm) as a traditional-style recreational vehicle. Both are 190 cm wide and, of course, have the same wheelbase (277 cm). Due to the different ratios, the medium resistance coefficient of the new model variant is negligible (by one hundredth), but still only more favorable than the same value of the Q4 e-tron (0.260 v. 0.261).
The drive chain is also the same: one electric motor per axle, with a total power of 225 kW (306 hp) and a combined torque of 460 Nm. All-wheel-drive crossovers accelerate equally to 6.3 km / h in 6.3 seconds, with a top speed limit of 180 km / h. The drive is basically focused on the rear axle (power and torque are split 1: 2 between the front and rear wheels), with the front axle playing a role when extra power or cornering stabilization is required.
