Visitors can see special Ikarus buses at the weekend in Kőbánya, in the Diesel Hall of the Észáki Járműjavító. At the Ikarus MiniFest of the Transport Museum, professional talks, interactive guided tours and children's programs await those interested, the museum announced to MTI on Wednesday.
After last year's great success, the Transport Museum is organizing its Ikarus MiniFest program at the end of this summer. On Saturday and Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., those interested can see the special vehicles of perhaps the most decisive representative of the Hungarian bus industry at the site - read the announcement.
As they say, legendary buses from BKV Zrt., Miskolc Városi Közlekedesi Zrt. and private individuals will arrive for the program. The museum's vehicles will include the famous Faros Ikarus, as well as the 211 and 311 types, and for the first time, an Ikarus 256 bus will be on display to the public in the current phase of full restoration.
According to the information, the two-day program also includes interactive guided tours, where visitors can get to know, among others, the 1926 Ford Model T from the museum's collection and visit a real Cold War bunker. In addition, the organizers welcome the youngest with a professional discussion and interesting children's programs, from badge production to tattooing.
The festival will also feature a 40-meter-long railway field table, which will be available for viewing after the event in the Northern Vehicle Repair Center until September 4.
In addition to the special Icarus, visitors can see the museum Once Upon a Time in the North. the story continues and also the periodical exhibitions Budapest was not built. You can participate in the event with a ticket valid for the given day, exchanged for the temporary exhibition.
