The organization providing the support explained that 140 million forints are still available from the 1 billion forints of the Pedelec-2022 application. The subsidy is half of the gross purchase price of the bicycles, depending on the drive system, it can be no more than HUF 100,000 or HUF 180,000. You can apply until April 14, 2023, or until the resources are exhausted.

So far, applications have been received for the purchase of 3,011 torque sensor and 3,193 pedal sensor pedelecs. 5,774 of them responded, and these were submitted for a subsidy of HUF 800 million. Out of the HUF 400 million limit for the tender for e-cargo bicycles, it is still possible to apply for HUF 109 million. Individual entrepreneurs can acquire 1 piece, business associations, civil organizations, associations, church organizations, municipalities can acquire 5 pieces with the post-financed subsidy, with a subsidy of up to HUF 500,000 per bicycle.

So far, 127 applicants have received assistance for the purchase of 221 bicycles, HUF 271 million. According to the notices available on the website of HUMDA Zrt., the Pedelec-2022 application is related to the Climate and Nature Protection Action Plan. Subsidized bicycles can be an alternative to cars, they play a role in reducing the use of fossil energy carriers and air pollution in settlements.
