A few decades ago, sci-fi movies were made with robots and self-driving, futuristic vehicles, and today they are not only a reality, but they are already on the roads.
Self-driving cars have already appeared and now the British have thought of one thing: they are launching self-driving bus services to transport passengers. In the middle of May, the first flight with a driver, but he will not control the means of public transport, will start its journey. It takes care of everything by itself.
In the first round, five vehicles will be put into service in East Scotland, which will hopefully keep to the tight schedule. They will drive on the same specific route as if a human were driving.
The question arises, why does such an autonomous vehicle need a driver? He will be needed because, if necessary, he will drive the bus according to a traditional bus. Another staff member will handle the tickets.
Getting this project to this point was preceded by a four-year process.
