After its buses, Chinese BYD is also attacking the European market with its passenger and commercial vehicles. She even holds the world premiere of her next model here.
Exactly one week after outlining its large-scale European plans, China’s electric vehicle specialist BYD announced that it would unveil its brand new type in Europe, a premium electric sedan named HAN (above and below).
It has not yet been revealed when this will happen, but it is certain that BYD products will arrive in Europe in bulk. Electric-powered local and long-distance buses are already present in the old world, but sales of the BYD Tang recreational vehicle will soon begin in the Norwegian market.
BYD Tang has so far been available in a plug-in hybrid version, and now comes the purely electric version. The company has not yet commented on the technical parameters of the permanent all-wheel drive recreational vehicle, but the most important data, the range, has already been revealed: the crossover can cover 520 kilometers with one charge.
However, Han and Tang are just the beginning: BYD wants to spray Europe with both light and heavy trucks.
