Serial production of the Q3 plug-in hybrid has started at Audi Hungaria's Győr plant.
Audi Hungaria's first plug-in hybrid model, an Audi Q3 Sportback, rolled off the production line in turbo blue on Monday. The car's 1.4-liter turbo engine is also made in Győr.
New equipment and robots were put into operation at the body factory to make the converted and new body parts. A PHEV-specific workstation has been developed in the vehicle assembly, where, among other things, the charging connector is installed. A special lifting device helps to install the high-voltage battery and the tank.
Audi Hungaria has trained and trained 1,500 employees in theoretical and practical training for the production of PHEV models. In addition, several Hungarian employees supported the production of Audi e-tron in Brussels and Volkswagen ID.3 in Zwickau, where they gained valuable experience.
