We saw this most in the premium category, with Renault's model similar to the BMW X6. Arkana offers a new line of bubbles.
For the time being, only a concept car is the Renault Arkana, a four-door terrain car presented at the Moscow Auto Show. The lower-mid-range crossover combines the elegant, powerful look with the unfettered features of recreational vehicles.
The car will be first produced in Russia, but later in Asia and then around the world to support Renault's global ambitions: they want to sell 5 million cars a year worldwide - last year, 3.76 million cars were sold, including many brands Dacia products.
Arkana will be screened for the first time in 2019. The concept of combining the stylistic elements of raised-sedan sedans and cup-louvres is conceived in Russia, and according to Renault, the model will be suitable for urban, rural and long-distance traffic.
Arkana wears all of the brand's contemporary styling from the hook-shaped LED daytime lights to the wide-ranging frill mask to the long-stitched, almost contiguous position marker on the back.
Above the 19-inch wheelbases, robust wheel arches and a curved backline are designed to emphasize the perceived terrain, while the rear of the chrome-plated tailpiece makes the car look more sporty. All-wheel drive will be optional, and available powertrains for the time being only know how to develop a brand new engine for the Russian market. Of course, we would not be surprised to see the engines in the range of Renault Kadjar and Koleos in the Arkanas.
