One of the most popular cars in Japan, the Toyota Corolla, comes in three body variants and for the first time with two hybrid drives.
The 12th generation of Corolla, one of Toyota's oldest and most popular models, has been launched in three versions. The Japanese compact is already built on the newly developed TNGA platform, just like C-HR or the latest Prius. Thanks to this, the body has a large number of aluminum elements and high-strength steel, and its chassis has MacPherson front, multilink rear, even with adaptive shock absorber.
The quality of the interior and the driver's position have been caught up in the category members, and the dashboard also has a leather cover for high-end specimens. The dashboard behind the steering wheel has a 7-inch display, the central touch screen is 8 inches, but the air conditioning continues to have separate controls. The premium HIFI is also supplied by the JBL, and a Head-up Display for windshields can also be ordered. The five-door version is 6 centimeters longer than the Touring Sports wheelbase, with a boot carrier of 598 liters.
The four-door four-cylinder, four-cylinder engine will be available, with 132 horsepower and a 159 Nm torque at 4400 rpm. This accelerates to 100 for the sedan in 9.7 seconds from a standing position, with a top speed of 200 km / h. The upstairs five-door and combi will be the 1.2-liter turbocharger with 116 riders and 185 Nm of torque. For the first time, they also offer two types of hybrid drives for the car.
The 1.8-liter hybrid petrol engine has 122 horsepower and 142 Nm torque, coupled with a 72-hp electric motor and 163 Nm of torque. This accelerates the door to 10.9 seconds (slower by 2 decades) to 100, and the top speed is 180 km / h in each case. This version gets a lighter, lithium-ion battery. In contrast, the more powerful hybrid has a 2-liter, four-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 190 Nm of torque, with the addition of a 202 Nm electric motor. This is, of course, also faster, with acceleration data of 7.9 and 8.1 seconds, the latter being the combi version. It can electrify up to 115 km / h, but has a top speed of 180 km / h like its weaker ones.
