Just two years after the previous model change, Hyundai is replacing its large recreational vehicle again. The Santa Fe is built on a brand new floorboard that brings a number of fundamental changes to the model’s life. The factory promises improved crash resistance, aerodynamics, and noise and vibration culture.
The most important novelty is the release of hybrid and plug-in versions; however, Hyundai did not provide details of their specifications in the same way as any other parameter in the model, from dimensions to driving dynamics. However, it has been revealed that for the first time, a Luxury package will also be offered for the model, which includes 20-inch wheels, polished side wear elements and custom bumper aprons.
The driving environment is brand new, the transmission (at least on the hybrid model) is push-button controlled, there is a huge storage compartment under the raised floor console, the classic air conditioning and seat heating are controlled by classic pushbuttons instead of the 10.25-inch touch screen. A novelty is the Terrain Mode dial, which allows you to select drive control optimized for sand, mud and snow in addition to the usual sporty, comfortable and automatic modes.
The model will be available in Europe from September 2020.
