Special, customized on-board perfume equipment has been patented by Toyota for the day. The connected technology could even be used for theft protection, although it is suspected to be a convenience feature.
The need to use an auto-styler is likely to be the same as the appearance of a closed cabin. They are more sophisticated than those that can be attached to the rear-view mirror and can be clipped onto the air intake grille, where the system is delivered from a factory-designed, well-hidden container to the customer's taste or randomly switching the perfume.
Toyota made these devices the 21st century. century, adding a very interesting feature to the mood painting technology. Today, as cars are increasingly able to adapt to their owners, it seems self-evident that not only the seat adjustment, cabin temperature and radio stations are stored and applied automatically by the system, but when a particular user is detected - most car manufacturers are always on the smartphone we have but biometric measurements, fingerprints, retina examinations, etc. are possible. Applying also - your favorite scent. As the user approaches the vehicle, the perfume is introduced into the passenger compartment, so by opening the door, it is surrounded by a well-known smell.
Toyota's newly patented system delivers exactly the latter with two important extras. One is to neutralize the scents: as soon as the passenger compartment is empty and the doors are closed, the control will spray material into the passenger compartment that will neutralize any pleasant or unpleasant odor. So the next user can start with a clean slate or clean air: the solution gets rid of the smell of the previous driver as well as the typical smell of the family's four-legged favorites.
However, it is quite different if the next user approaches the car with the wrong intention. If the immobilizer detects that they have attempted to bridge, it will command an open container that is safely locked out of which the tear gas will pass into the passenger compartment - as diluted as necessary, so as not to cause permanent damage, but make it impossible for the vehicle to start unauthorized.
Although the patent entry describes the operation and mechanism of action of the system accurately, it is unlikely that Toyota will ever apply this technology, since it cannot compromise the integrity of its passenger systems from the security of third party technology systems, ie smartphones. However, this particular development is well suited to drawing attention to the untapped potential of customization and connectivity.
