Two hundred pieces of electric motor-powered passenger vehicles will help Toyota to host the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. APM looks like crossing a tram and a golf cart.
Accessible People Mover (APM) is an accessible, accessible, accessible passenger vehicle: Toyota has named it the newest. In the light of the company's autonomous mobility developments, fuel cell advancements, we expected a minimum robotic-powered hydrogen bus, but no: manages APM, and electric motors are powered by batteries.
Behind the front driver in the middle, we find a three-person seat on the back and a two-person seat on the back - a 3.9-meter-long, 2-meter-tall, 1.6-meter-wide vehicle with five passengers on both sides. It can also be equipped with a wheel chair: the center seat is folded, the wheelchair can be fixed to the floor.
The range of APM is 100 kilometers, its maximum speed is 19 km / h and the radius of its turn circle is only 4.8 meters.
Even after the Olympic Games, the vehicles do not have to be thrown into shackles: the "second" and third row seats "fit" on one side of the car, with a stretcher and two doctors / ambulance seats, so the APM can also be used as an ambulance.
