The design of the new generation Renault Kangoo passenger car is full of practical solutions, but it has not taken over the most profitable innovation from the freight version.
We know right from the start: it seems that the sesame door, ie the passenger compartment door and side sliding door that closes without the B-pillar, will not be available for the Renault Kangoo station wagon, at least not for the time being. The solution, which results in a huge loading opening, is only available for the van, but Kangoo is still trying to take advantage of the Peugeot Rifter / Citroën Berlingo / Opel Combo / Toyota Proace City clan, which was renewed two years earlier.
On paper, they have the disadvantage that neither a third row of seats nor a longer body is available for the time being - of course, these may appear later, as well as the extended (and even abbreviated ) version of the previous Renault Kangoo.
In the meantime, there's plenty to enjoy: 49 liters of storage space, a pull-out glove compartment as a drawer, a category-leading rear legroom, a 775/3500-liter boot, an integrated roof rack that can be retrofitted without tools, and fourteen basic-price driver support functions. If the backrest of the front passenger seat is also tilted forward, a 270 cm long, completely flat packing surface is obtained.
The headlights are LED in all versions, the steering wheel is adjustable in four directions, in addition to the special headrest of the driver's seat, it also offers an adjustable lumbar support, the on-board multimedia system has an 8-inch screen and the instrument panel has a 4.2 or 7-inch screen. You can place your own screen (ie your mobile phone) on either side of the instrument panel using the built-in holder, which also serves as a wireless charger. You can get up to 10 pieces from a USB or 12-volt charging socket.
