With the creation of the new energy ministry and the resignation of Minister László Palkovics, the Ministry of Technology and Industry will cease to exist, thereby ending my previous duties as Secretary of State for Transport, Dávid Vitézy wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
He said that, according to the new division of governmental tasks, the supervision of the specialized field of transport will be transferred to the ministry of János Lázár.
In his post, Dávid Vitézy thanked László Palkovics and the government "for the honorable invitation and the joint work", and then wrote: "I believe that in the past six months we have been able to take a step forward in the right direction in many major matters of domestic public transport and railways".
Prime Minister Gergely Gulyás announced on Monday: the government has decided to create an independent energy ministry.
Gergely Gulyás justified the creation of the new ministry by saying that due to the war and sanctioned energy prices, energy security and energy prices are the most important issues in Hungary and Europe.
The government is therefore making structural changes and creating an independent energy ministry. The new ministry is responsible for the unified management of energy policy and will also take over most of the powers of the Energy Agency, he said.
The Prime Minister asked Csaba Lantos to head the Ministry of Energy, he explained, adding that the new minister will take up his post on December 1.
Gergely Gulyás announced: The Prime Minister accepted the resignation of Minister of Technology and Industry László Palkovics.
With his departure, the Ministry of Technology and Industry will cease to exist, and its tasks will be taken over by the Ministry of Economy, Construction and Investment, and Culture and Innovation.
