It is not yet known whether Toyota's new service, which can hire out-to-the-minute car corporate customers, will meet the real market demand.
A few months ago, Toyota launched its car-sharing service in Honolulu, the most liveable city in the US, which works just like any other system: a registered customer walks to a parking car, opens it with his smartphone, drives while he feels and then gets out of business. and deduct the usage fee from the credit card.
The same system would now be introduced by Toyota in Europe, with an important difference: it would attack non-private individuals but company partners. The idea may be of interest to those who only occasionally need a company car - to say a partner at the airport or to represent them at an event - or occasionally use more cars than the existing fleet.
We could already recommend an interested person to this project: a few months ago our dear reader asked us where and how he could. rent a car for work weekend for two weeks a week without having to go through the harsh ways of contracting and choosing a car each time. Well, dear reader, except unfortunately, the project is still limited to two cities in Europe: Copenhagen and Madrid. In the former, there are hundreds of Toyota and sixty-five Toyota at the launch of the pilot service; later, 250 and 100 cars will wait for customers.
