After thirty years, Mercedes has a good triumph over the DTM field. An important member of the series was also welcomed by competitors.
The times are changing and this is well illustrated by the fact that Mercedes is turning to the electric drive or is leaving the German Touring Car Championship after 30 years, which is what we call DTM. They gave way to the last season, as Gary Paffett, the senior pilot of the field, closed with 255 points in Hockenheimring, so he drew his second title. He won the first in 2005 with a total of 23 wins, 48 podium positions and 17 pole positions behind his back.
Mercedes has also won 15 championship titles over the past three decades, and Aston Martin will be in the lead, but unfortunately Hungaroring has not been included in the 2019 calendar, so we can't see the V8 monsters in Hungary.
Only Audi's compilation was better than that, and in addition, during the race, a small sticker on the wings of the Audi racing cars indicated that they would miss Mercedes:
