Shell Helix Ultra presents a new range of products, offering state-of-the-art protection for modern turbocharged engines.
Shell Helix Ultra introduces a new product line that offers advanced protection for modern turbocharged engines. With the introduction of a new series of fully synthetic engine oils in line with the API (America Petroleum Institute's new SN Plus standard), Shell continues to demonstrate industry and technology leadership.
“We are very pleased to introduce the new synthetic engine oils of the new Shell Helix Ultra SN Plus at home, which not only meets the new industry standards, but also represents Shell's most advanced protection solution for advanced turbocharged engines. The product is expected to be introduced in Hungary in 2019, ”said Tamás Fehér, technical advisor to Orbico Hungary Kft.
The new standard highlights the needs of car manufacturers and maximizes the protection of modern turbocharged petrol engines from abnormal combustion, which can cause severe damage to the engine. The two new Shell Helix Ultra products are synthetic, engineered with Shell PurePlus technology to help reduce engine load and provide many more benefits.
“It is a major challenge for car manufacturers to create engines that are not only fuel efficient but also comply with global CO2 emissions standards. An excellent solution for this is the 99.5% pure crystalline base oil with Shell PurePlus technology that provides complete wear and corrosion protection not only for the engine but also for its components. Beyond this, it is also more demanding and high temperature, so it performs well in the long run, ”added Tamás Fehér.
The Shell Helix Ultra SN PLUS 0W-16 is a fully synthetic engine oil that meets the industry's new engine test requirements and provides increased fuel economy, allowing everyday motorists to gain more from each tank fuel.
