The increasingly popular pre-sale period for Hungarian motorway stickers begins.

The annual motorway stickers for next year will be available from 7 December at Nemzeti Útdíjfizetési Szolgáltató Zrt. (NÚSZ) 's own sales interface, customer service offices and reseller partners. The 2020 annual stickers provide road use rights until January 31, 2021.

According to NÚSZ data, pre-purchase of annual e-stickers is becoming more and more popular. While in December 2018 a good 120 thousand, in the last month of 2019 more than 144 thousand years old e-stickers were sold before the start of the validity period. This represented an increase of nearly 20 percent over last year’s pre-purchase period from a year earlier.

According to a recently announced amendment to the law, from 2021 onwards, tolls will automatically increase annually with inflation tracking. Next year, the annual national motorway sticker will cost HUF 44,660, the annual county HUF 5,200, the ten-day HUF 3,640, and the monthly HUF 4,970.

In the D2 fee category - a vehicle suitable for transporting more than seven people, a truck up to 3.5 tons and a caravan - the price of the annual e-sticker valid for 2021 is also HUF 44,660, while the county price is HUF 10,390.
