The Dutch Statistical Office has published interesting data. The police in the country allocate much more speeding to the drivers and drivers of plug-in hybrids than conventional four-wheel drivers.
Three quarters of the 9000 Tesla owners were punished for speeding last year, according to data from the Dutch statistical office. The staggering number was reported by the dutchnews.nl site, and also two-thirds of drivers in the country who had plug-in hybrids were fined for exceeding the permitted speed.
The share of diesel engine drivers fined for speeding is 46 percent, while 28 percent for gasoline, and the share of riders who are driven by a purely electric drive has not been published. Obviously, these data would be really talkative if we knew how much of the seed drives the Dutch used.
However, the bridging data is thought-provoking. The article in the Dutch paper also highlights the fact that it was the drivers of Audit, BMW and Volvo who were driving fast - but none of the brands approached the speed of Tesla drivers.
