Vivien Keszthelyi finished in 10th place on Sunday's Sunday competition day of the Asian Championship Winter Series Formula 3 in Sepang, Malaysia.
The 18-year-old was thus finishing in the first F3 series of his career and scored 13 points in the 13th field in 13th place. According to Keszthely's management's announcement on Monday, the Hungarian rider scored five points out of nine races, becoming “the youngest and most successful driver of the history of Hungarian motor sport, who participated in an international F3 category in a full season”.
Keszthely's car broke in a race accident during the first race of last weekend, but his team, BlackArts Racing, rebuilt in two hours. In the second race, the pilot was only allowed to start with a test, but on the third race he was starting from the 14th place as the tenth.
At the end of January, Keszthelyi entered the 28th field of the W Series, a new speed-racing women's car racing series that will be launched this year, from which 18 drivers will be selected for the first season of the W Series in March.
