18 contestants will form their field for the absolute novelty Formula One series. Vivien Keszthelyi will soon be among the pilots.
The W Series is about to start, with a series of key goals for the organizers to make the Formula One open to women, because there has been no female driver for the top 40 in the racing race.
Since the beginning of the year, pilots have been selected in a two-stage selection, with 18 riders selected for the first round. As an official test and reserve pilot, Vivien Keszthelyi was also included in the W Series. The 18-year-old Hungarian racer is now "full-time" in the F3 Asian Championship Winter Series.
So far, the riders took part in a test where they could try their single Tatuus T-318 car. Cars have the same specification, which also helps to select the pilot. Cars weigh 565 kg, the engine is 1.8 liters, 270 hp units. One race will take 30 minutes.
The season starts on the first weekend of May in Hockenheimring, as the DTM run.
